Here's my layout...
I was inspired from a very talented lady called Anna Rogalska, she made this beautiful layout here. And she's inspired me to use a black paper. The thing is, I've never really tried a black (totally black) before. So I thought I gave it a try. I painted all black (you could use black gesso is you have one or simply just a black acrylic paint - if you use normal paint, try not to put a lot of water for a clean finish).
I painted all the embellishement that I wanna use with all black. Once I did, I tried to arrange (raw) where's my photo and embellishment would be and started to spray that area with Lindy's Stamp Gang - C'est la vie Cerise, Prima Bloom - Cotton Candy. then I used the stencil I've got from last year bought in Scrapbook.com, The Crafters Workshop - Doodling Template for a little bit of the accent for the black paper. I stamped Finnabair - Vanity Vintage No.4 using gesso instead of ink. I used Cosmic Color H2O - Purple Violet, Blue Lilac, Crimson Sparkle and Summer Grass. Once I was happy with the background I began to glue the embellishments and the photos. I sprayed it again with the similar sprays and then I began brushing the H2O by hand to create more Details.
Sometimes it took hours before I decided that's enough. But I always take my time, cause when the colors not there yet, I always try to brush it more till I could say "STOP". All the colors was looking even, so I thought I need another 'one' to make it a little brighter. I decided to use Inka Gold - Old Gold. I started brushing the paint (dry) instead of rubbing it cause I needed to reach the small place that I couldn't do with my finger. And voila... My finished my layout! Would love to thank Karan Gerber for this wonderful 4 months term being one of her Design Team. It's an honor to be one of yours. Thank you Karan! Have a marvelous day! Hugs, Merry.
